How does your affiliate program work?
Simple, first you will need to log in to our
affiliate section using your domain name and password. Next, you will need to provide us with the location of your company logo or graphic. Lastly, you will need to choose from a variety of Clickey links (search boxes, banners, buttons etc.) which you will use to create a link back to Clickey. All of these links contain unique HTML code that will allow us to track visitors coming from your web site and thus display your company logo or graphic. When someone visits Clickey as a result from clicking on one of these links, Clickey will predominantly display your company logo or graphic at the top of our search results. If you are not familiar with how to edit your own web pages or don't know how to create your company logo or graphic that meets our graphic restrictions, then please consult with the person who designed your web site.

Why would I want to create a link that would allow someone leave my site?
No one is going to stay at your web site forever. In fact the odds of someone leaving your web site and heading to a search engine to find the next thing they're looking for is extremely high. If someone is going to leave your web site, why not send them to a search engine that is going to predominantly display your logo on every page that person visits. One of the best forms of marketing web related businesses comes in the form of "branding". By allowing us to place your logo at the top of all our pages with a link back to your web site, you immediately start building brand recognition as well as driving traffic back to your own web site!

If someone leaves Clickey and returns later, will my logo continue to appear?
Yes. The unique HTML code we provide you with when creating a link back to Clickey allows us to determine where the user came from, and thus to display your company logo or graphic. Clickey uses "cookie technology" to track this. All visitors who come to Clickey as a result from your web site will continually see your company logo or graphic, even if it's months later! The only time they will not see your logo is if they come to Clickey from another affiliate web site. In which case there "cookie" overwrites yours. Think of it for a second... over 80% of the people who visit your web site never come back. The reasons are many and not being found on search engines is the primary one. By becoming an Clickey affiliate your logo and a link will be displayed every time they come to search Clickey, even if it's weeks down the road. Trying to buy that type of exposure for your web site on traditional search engines, would cost you thousands of dollars!

Why should I use your affiliate program over those who pay me?
Ask yourself this basic question. What would you rather have, getting paid a couple of pennies to have someone leave your web site and likely never to come back? Or, allow a major search engine to predominantly display your company logo and a link back to your web site at the top of every search results page? You don't have to be a rocket scientist to figure that one out.

How do I create a link back to Clickey?
Each type of link whether it be in the form of a Clickey Search Box, Banner or Text Link contains its own unique HTML code allowing us to detect that someone came from your web site. Simply copy and paste the appropriate HTML code on to any or all of your web pages and you're done! If you are unfamiliar with how to add HTML code to your web pages then we suggest asking a friend or whomever designed your web site to help you.

Where do I place my link back to Clickey on my site?
Anywhere! Unlike other affiliate programs, we don't demand that you place our link at the top of all your pages or you forfeit your agreement. In fact, we understand how hard you work to get someone to your web site in the first place. Our suggestion is to find a convenient spot on your web page(s) which will allow someone to search the web knowing full well that you will be constantly promoting your own web site at the same time. Many people place Clickey search boxes throughout their entire web site, but of course, we leave that up to you. All in all, Clickey's affiliate programs allows you to relax knowing that a major search engine is helping you to succeed!

I own many web sites. May I set up an affiliate program for each one?
Sure, as a matter of fact you would be crazy not to. Simply specify the domain name and password for each web site when logging in to our
affiliate program. Each domain name you log in with will have its own unique HTML codes generated for each of our Clickey links. These unique HTML codes contain "cookie" information allowing us to keep track of where the end user came from and conversely, which company logo or graphic we need to display. In other words you will need to log in separately for each web site (domain name) and grab it's unique HTML code.

Everything works great but why does my image or logo appears distorted?
You probably submitted a graphic which was not exactly 234 x 60 pixels. Our systems automatically convert graphics to this size which means that your graphic may look distorted. To correct the problem simply do the following:

  1. Create a new graphic which is exactly 234 x 60 pixels
  2. Upload your new graphic to your server
  3. Login to our affiliate program using your domain and password
  4. Enter the location of your new graphic (URL to Logo)
Once your new graphic has been reviewed and approved it will automatically replace the distorted original. You will receive an email confirmation at the end of the process. You may change your graphics as often as you like.
